At Nebraska Basketball Academy, our basketball camps and clinics are built around a simple belief: don't skip steps. We focus on mastering the fundamentals that great players rely on every day. While many Omaha basketball camps rush ahead to advanced moves, we believe confidence and long-term success come from building a strong foundation first.
Our coaches challenge athletes to be disciplined, focused, and committed to improvement, but we also know that kids learn best when they're having fun. That's why every camp and clinic combines skill development, competition, games, and a positive atmosphere that keeps players engaged and excited to come back. Whether your athlete is new to the game or already has years of experience, our basketball camps are designed to help them improve, grow, and enjoy the process.

Halloween Spooktacular
A free community party for the whole family!
Join us at Nebraska Basketball Academy on Friday, October 30, from 6:00–8:00 PM for a night of basketball, Halloween games, costumes, and treats. Bring the family, invite your friends, and come ready to have fun!
What’s Happening
Candy & Treats
Stop by our trick-or-treat station and get your Halloween candy collection started a day early.
Costume Contest
Show off your costume for a chance to win! Prizes will be available for different age groups.
Basketball & Games
The court will be open for kids to shoot around and play pick-up basketball, with Halloween games and activities to enjoy throughout the evening.
Pumpkin Painting
Get creative at our outdoor pumpkin painting station.

Learn to Play: Dribbling
Every player starts somewhere!
Learning to dribble is about more than bouncing a basketball. It’s about feeling comfortable with the ball, knowing how to control it, and building the confidence to use it in a game.
Join us at Nebraska Basketball Academy for a clinic that makes learning approachable and fun. We’ll teach the basics, give players time to practice, and put those skills to work through games and challenges.
What We’ll Work On
Getting Comfortable With the Ball
Learn how to control the basketball with either hand and develop a feel for the bounce.
Dribbling on the Move
Practice starting, stopping, and changing direction while keeping control.
Keeping Your Eyes Up
Build the habit of looking ahead so you can see teammates, defenders, and where to go next.
Learning Through Play
Use new skills in games and challenges that give every player opportunities to try, make mistakes, and improve.
About the Learn to Play Series
Learn to Play is an ongoing clinic series designed to teach anyone how to play basketball the right way, the fun way. Each clinic focuses on a different part of the game, with clear instruction and plenty of opportunities to learn through play.
No experience needed. All you need is curiosity and a willingness to try!

From Dribble to Bucket
Make your dribble lead somewhere.
Getting past a defender is only part of the job. Knowing when to attack, how to create space, and what to do next helps turn a good move into a scoring opportunity.
Join us at Nebraska Basketball Academy for a clinic focused on connecting your dribble to your finish. Through instruction, competitive challenges, and live play, we’ll help players use their skills with purpose.
What We’ll Work On
Creating an Advantage
Use changes of pace and direction to get a defender off balance and create room to attack.
Reading the Defender
Recognize when to drive, change direction, or take the space the defense gives you.
Connecting Your Steps
Work on the footwork and balance that help you move from dribbling into a shot or finish.
Finishing the Play
Practice finishing around the basket and choosing a shot that fits the opportunity.
Putting It Into Play
Apply those skills against defenders, where timing and decisions matter as much as the move itself.
