REGULAR SEASON | WEEKS 1-8

Each team will play one scheduled match per week during the 8-week regular season. League standings will be determined by each team’s overall match record.

Tournament | WEEKS 9-10

The season concludes with an end-of-season tournament. Teams will be seeded according to their regular-season standings.

The final bracket format will be determined by the total number of registered teams and announced before tournament play begins.

Matches will be played as a best two-out-of-three series.

• Sets one and two are played to 25 points.

• A third set, when necessary, is played to 15 points.

• Every set must be won by two points.

• Each team receives one timeout per match.

Teams will be responsible for making their own line calls. When teams cannot agree on whether a ball was in or out, the point will be replayed.

There are no consecutive-serving restrictions. A player may continue serving, including overhand serving, for as long as their team continues to win points.

Teams may never have more men than women on the court at one time.

PERMITTED LINEUPS INCLUDE:

• Three men and three women

• Two men and three women

• Two men and two women

• One man and three women

• Three men and two women is not permitted

When five players are present and the team has three men and two women, one male player must rotate out until another female player arrives.

Teams must have at least four eligible players to begin a match.

Teams will receive a 15-minute grace period after their scheduled match time.

When a team is unable to field at least four eligible players at the end of the grace period, the match will be recorded as a forfeit.

Arriving late does not extend the team’s scheduled match window.

Each player must complete and sign Nebraska Basketball Academy’s liability waiver before participating in their first match.

Players who have not completed a waiver will not be permitted to play until one has been submitted.

Team Captains are responsible for confirming that every player on their roster has completed the required waiver.

We are committed to providing a competitive, welcoming, and respectful environment for every player, spectator, and staff member.

ZERO-TOLERANCE POLICY FOR:

• Derogatory or discriminatory language

• Personal attacks

• Harassment

• Threatening behavior

• Unsportsmanlike conduct toward opponents, spectators, officials, or staff

Violations may result in immediate forfeiture, removal from the facility, dismissal from the league, and disqualification from all remaining league games.

A minimum of six teams is required for the league to operate.

When fewer than six teams have registered by the league deadline, the season will be canceled and every registered team will receive a full refund.
